I am connecting TMUX1108 to electrochemical input of AD5941.AD5941 has only three GPIO pins. These GPIO lines will be connected to address lines of the MUX.No pin is available with AD5941 to control the EN pin of the TMUX1108.

My intention is during power on the MUX should be disabled.Initially I thought of connecting a pull down resistor and control the EN using GPIO,unfortunately I don't have enough GPIO's.Below is the block diagram of my circuit.

I need the mux needs to be enable after the power is stable.May I know can I connect an RC circuit to EN as shown below.

\$\begingroup\$ Note that R1 and R2 form a voltage divider. If they have the same value, the pin will never rise above half of V1. Better to make R2 10x the value of R1. But why not use a reset controller chip, which will give you a clean logic signal? \$\endgroup\$ Commented Oct 17 at 11:21

\$\begingroup\$ Yes you should be able to connect an RC circuit to control the power on time for the MUX. \$\endgroup\$ Commented Oct 17 at 13:31
  • \$\begingroup\$ It should work. It should also work without the capacitors and without the resistors, so if you have a reason to put them there, what would be the reason? You may have an XY problem, i.e. have problem X, and are trying to solve it with Y which is what you are asking about. \$\endgroup\$ Commented Oct 17 at 13:38

\$\begingroup\$ @Justme: Read the question! The OP doesn't want the enable to come up with the power supply, but some time later. \$\endgroup\$ Commented Oct 17 at 14:13
