I have a mint condition Polish DP-75 Geiger Counter. It is 40 years old but it has been well maintained and works good as new. It has a mono headphone output to a Soviet type Tonsil SM-73 earplug, which is super quiet.

I have a bunch of piezo buzzers rated between 70-90db volume, and if i just plug them in (the headphone output is not a jack but rather 2 banana sockets so its pretty simple), they work, albeit also quiet (louder than the headphone but still way below ideal).

I also tested it with a basic JBL amplified speaker and if i crank it up, it works, but I don't really want to carry that around.

Is there a way I can make the piezo buzzer louder? Here is the schematics for the whole thing.

As far as I am aware the intention behind the quiet earphone is that there is a warning sound beep that is sounded when the radiation crosses a threshold set by the user. The volume of THAT is very good (ear splitting, even). But the basic counting clicks of the counter are whisper quiet compared to that. I have no use for the alarm as I'm not venturing into Block IV anytime soon, but I sure could use the clicking sound.
