The problem is, the following code doesn't work. If I am not using the if to check if there is a signal at GPIO 16, then the code is working. I'm using a ESP32-CAM module. It doesn't save a picture to the SD card.

If I leave the if (digitalRead(16)) away, the code will save every loop a picture to the SD-Card.

  IMPORTANT!!!
   - Select Board "AI Thinker ESP32-CAM"
   - GPIO 0 must be connected to GND to upload a sketch
   - After connecting GPIO 0 to GND, press the ESP32-CAM on-board RESET button to put your board in flashing mode

the code doesn't work ... what does it do? ... edit your post ... add a clear description of what it does ... do not write a comment Commented Aug 9, 2024 at 14:05
  • Your button GPIO (16) is only checked once every second, instead of more often. You should have any delay and add debouncing: docs.arduino.cc/built-in-examples/digital/Debounce. Also, you don't say how you've wired up the button. The pinMode(16, INPUT); together with if((digitalRead(16))) demands a button with an external pull-down resistor on GPIO16, and the button being wired to +3.3V on one side, and GPIO16 on the other. • @MaximilianGerhardt thank you for the tip with the delay. But that didn't changed the main problem. I also tried if((digitalRead(16)==0) and put a cable to the ground, but then the esp32 also didn't take a photo. Commented Aug 9, 2024 at 20:14
  • So what's the wiring diagram? Commented Aug 11, 2024 at 10:50
