  • I have a surface pro 11 running windows 11 and wolfram 14.2
  • When I try to input maths with the handwriting input, it doesn't recognize my input as shown in the image

enter image description here

  • I've tried many different inputs and none of them work
  • when I try the same in one-note or one of the other apps that use the math recognizer they just work straight away. So I'm confident it isn't my writing
  • has anyone got this tool working? There is very little documentation on it
  • I just have a trial license of wolfram. So maybe that's the issue. But I can't see anything that says I need to buy a license to use this tool

    $\begingroup$ I'm using v14.2, win11 and I have a personal license. I didn't know there's a handwriting tool untill I see your post, but when I click Window -> Handwriting Input, I don't even get the dialog shown in your screenshot… $\endgroup$ Commented Mar 20 at 1:06
  • $\begingroup$ The Windows 10 Math Input Panel seems to work: reddit.com/r/Mathematica/comments/snyssm/…. But a link in this link says that it's a Windows feature rather than a Mathematica feature and that Microsoft removed it from Windows 11. So while this works in Windows 10, the input window does not look like the window above. $\endgroup$ Commented Mar 20 at 4:15

  • $\begingroup$ @JimB that sounds promising. What license have you got? And what notebook are you using? $\endgroup$ Commented Mar 20 at 8:10
