Rate limit with Copilot Pro on VSCode #179099

This is a server-side rate limit (per minute/hour) to manage capacity, even with Copilot Pro. It usually means you've made too many requests too quickly, or there's a temporary server load issue. Why it happens: High frequency of requests (especially for complex tasks or chat), or a potential bug where the VS Code extension is rapidly calling the API in the background. Reset Time: It's temporary. The limit should reset after a few minutes to an hour. Workaround: Wait 15-30 minutes, or try restarting VS Code to ensure no stuck processes are continually hitting the API. If it continues, consider checking your extension version or contacting GitHub Support. |

Hello, I'm new here (my first post/message).
I use Copilot Pro on VSCode. Everything was working fine until today, when I started getting the following message
I have to wait a few minutes before I can continue, and then the message reappears.
Why is this happening? How long do I have to wait for it to reset so I can finally get on with my project?
Thank for your help
