Laravel Development in 2026: Why AI Assistants Are Non-Negotiable
We're making a bold claim: by 2026, AI assistants won't be a nice-to-have for Laravel developers—they'll be non-negotiable. Not because AI is magic, but because the market, your team, and your competitive edge demand it.
Join Harris and George for a 45-minute technical deep dive into AI-assisted Laravel development. We'll show you real code, real projects, and real results from building production applications with AI assistance.
You'll learn how to structure effective human + AI collaboration—what to delegate to AI and what requires your expertise. We'll do a live demo of the Laravel Boost package and show how AI agents understand Laravel's architecture. You'll see a complete case study of a production sales site, including what worked brilliantly and where human judgment was essential.
We'll cover practical setup, pricing models, and best practices you can use immediately. Whether you're curious, already using these tools, or skeptical—you're welcome. We'll discuss limitations honestly alongside the benefits.
This is a technical talk for developers by developers. Presented by Harris and George.
Duration approximately 45 minutes plus Q&A.
Harris is a Senior Software Engineer who's been working with Laravel since version 4. As a Staff Writer at Laravel News, he creates video courses that help developers master Laravel by making complex concepts accessible through practical, real-world examples. He co-organizes the Laravel Greece Meetup in Athens and loves connecting with Laravel communities around the world.
George is a developer with over two decades of experience, after first spending a few years in Graphic Arts and Multimedia. He discovered Laravel back in version 3 and has worked almost exclusively with it ever since. Having been a freelancer, contractor, and in recent years a developer at tech startups, he also runs his own invoicing SaaS in Greece. He founded the Laravel Greece community (now organizing it together with Harris) and enjoys helping strengthen the local Laravel ecosystem.
